I MADE FUDGE AND IT LOOKS LIKE FUDGE AND SMELLS LIKE FUDGE AND I THINK IT MIGHT BE EDIBLE! I thought making peanut butter fudge was going to be difficult, it’s not. These are the ingredients:
Peanut Butter Fudge
1 cup (256 g) smooth no-stir peanut butter (the kind that doesn’t separate in the jar)
12 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups (173 g) confectioners’ sugar
Note that I made a complete mess, as usual. At least this time it was all in about a three foot radius.
The directions as paraphrased by me: melt this shit, stir this shit, put this shit in a wax lined pan.
That is exactly what I did! When the condensed milk and peanut butter was melting together it looked pretty awesome and as it melted and mixed together I got pretty excited that it was looking so good and really was starting to get smooth and kind of toffee-ish, was thicker than peanut butter and held up together much better. After these two ingredients are smoothly mixed together you add in a crapton of confectioners’ sugar. The pan I chose to make this fudge in was NOT the correct size, incredibly small for that much mixing. It took me a long time to mix it all together because I felt like there was a continuos amount of confectioners’ sugar that never mixed completely.
After what seemed like an eternity of mixing a sea in a sail boat, I came to the conclusion that all was set and done and put the soon-to-be fudge into wax lined pan. I have to say, it looked pretty freaking amazing! I would definitely say that this recipe was a success, I really want to make every flavor fudge now. My friend Mikey is having a pretty large dinner party (totally weird to call it that because it will be as stated: a bunch of dudes eating delicious food and me, the only female, eating a salad. Yay diets!), I will be bringing this fudge to the get together, along with other cute sweets, and I will report back to you guys on how it went! I may even post a picture of myself being ridiculously bro-ish with all my guy friends!
